We have had a busy winter and are looking forward to an exciting spring.

Carnival

Our much anticipated ice show will be taking place on Saturday April 25^th. Thank you to all who have registered, you’re going to have a great time! Online registration is now closed. If you would like to register your skater please email your request to events@portcreditfsc.ca .

CanSkate Carnival practices will begin on March 29^th during your regular skating session.
StarSkate Carnival practices will begin April 1^st - schedule TBA
Ticket sales for both shows will begin in early April, further details to come.
Our Volunteer coordinator will be contacting you in mid-March to discuss your volunteer position and best availability for the event.

We are currently seeking sponsors and advertisers for Carnival. If you, or someone you know, are a business owner we are offering the opportunity to reach a large local audience by sponsoring a portion of our show or by advertising in our Show Program. All advertisers and sponsors will be listed on our website, Facebook and Instagram pages. An email blast will also be sent out to all our membership after the show for further promotion. See the Sponsorship page on our website for further information. You can speak to one of our volunteers or email events@portcreditfsc.ca if you have any questions.

Competitions

Our Competitive skaters, along with their coaches, have been travelling throughout Ontario to compete this winter and have done a great job at representing our Club! Congratulations! See our Facebook page for photos and updates from the events.

IMPORTANT DATES for the month of March:

Daylight Savings Time: Remember to “Spring Forward” and turn your clocks ahead on Sunday March 8^th.
Wednesday March 11^th: Junior Development information session. Details to follow.
March Break: there will be NO skating sessions from Monday March 16^th to Sunday March 22^nd. Please note that StarSkate sessions (PreCompetitive and Competitive)will take place on a modified schedule on Sunday March 22^nd. See the attached March Break schedule.
Tuesday March 31^st -StarSkate Test Day:
- There are NO Pre CanSkate or CanSkate sessions on this day (this is a scheduled “no skating” day).
- There are NO Open (4 pm) or Development/PreCompetitive (5 pm) session on this day.
- A test day schedule will be sent and will include information regarding the remaining scheduled Open and Competitive Sessions for this day.
- For skaters who are testing, please see the PCSC website for test day information, schedule and to pay for your test day fees prior to test day.

Spring and Summer 2020: the Board of Directors is currently working on finalizing the Spring and Summer schedules. Information will be sent out as soon as it is available.

Welcome to our new Winter CanSkate families!

Please make note of the following dates and information:

Saturday February 15^th -- Carnival Registration closes
Monday February 17^th – Family Day, there are no skating sessions taking place on this day

Carnival 2020 will be taking place on Saturday April 25^th for two shows at 2 pm and 7 pm. This much anticipated ice show is a great opportunity for your skaters to take part and shine in the spotlight. ALL levels of skaters are welcome to register. PreCanSkate and CanSkate level skaters steal the show every time! Practices take place during regular sessions in the weeks leading to Carnival. Only the Thursday and Friday rehearsals may require you to come to the arena on an additional day. We are also seeking Sponsors and Advertisers. If you, or someone you know, are a business owner refer to the Carnival Sponsorship information on our website. Congratulations to all of our Port Credit skaters who are taking part in competitions throughout Ontario. Your hard work is an inspiration to everyone. Huge thanks also go out to our dedicated team of coaches who spend many hours getting our young athletes prepared mentally and physically for competition. Good luck to all of you!
