Welcome to our new Winter CanSkate families!
Please make note of the following dates and information:
- Wednesday February 6th – Sessions moved to Clarkson Arena for this day only due to a hockey game taking place at Port Credit Arena. Skating sessions only will be offered. There is no Off-Ice session on this day; this session was replaced in December.
- CanSkate Parent Information Sessions: Tuesday Feb. 5th, Thursday Feb 7th, Friday Feb 8th and Sunday Feb 10th. Information sessions presented by our CanSkate Representative Ivana Leksik. All CanSkate parents are invited to learn more about our Pre CanSkate and CanSkate programs. Further details to follow.
- Monday February 18th – Family Day, there are no skating sessions taking place on this day.
On January 12th and 13th the Port Credit Skating Club hosted the Snowflake Skate Competition. We would like to thank everyone who helped to make the event a huge success. We had a large number of event volunteers as well as generous donors to our fundraising campaign. The support of our members allowed us to offer an outstanding competition to over 300 skaters and their families who came from all over Ontario to compete at the Port Credit Arena.
Congratulations to all of our Port Credit skaters who are taking part in competitions throughout Ontario. Competition results can be found under our Competitions page. Good luck to all of you!
If you haven’t already seen it, take a moment to watch To The Worlds . This CBC documentary about a group of inspiring women skaters from British Columbia aired in January. Well worth watching!
Did you know that the Port Credit Skating Club is operated solely by parent volunteers? We are seeking additional volunteers who are willing to help and will be reaching out to you in the next few weeks.
